    BLUERIBBON COALITION ACTION ALERT!

    Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

Attention Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho recreationists!

As you know the Jackson, Buffalo and Big Piney Ranger Districts on the Bridger-Teton National Forest are working on their new travel plan. Well, I just got an email from David Wilkinson, Travel Plan/GIS Support for the Forest Service (FS), and he wanted to let me know they finally have their Travel Plan website up and running, go to http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/btnfand click on North Travel Plan Revision.

The website contains information on the OHV Rule and Travel Planning Process, as well as progress on the Travel Plan. Opportunities for the public to participate at future meetings and possible field trips will also be posted on the website. It will also contain information that will enable the public to comment and ask questions via email, about this public process and the Initial Proposal which will be detailed at the upcoming open houses. This website will be updated regularly.

Also he wanted to let me know about two open houses they are holding later this month (see schedule below). These open house events will detail the Initial Proposal for a Designated Motorized (OHV) Route System and all interested parties are invited to attend and public comment is encouraged.

The open houses are the next step in the local planning process which will finalize with the production of a motor vehicle use map by the summer of 2008.
