DESCRIPTION:Idaho Off-Road is pleased to announce the 2023 Ride & Rally    \n\n\n\nJune 15th – 18th    @    Warm Lake\, Idaho \n\n\n\nHosted by Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club \n\n\n\nThis three-day\, fun-packed off-roading event will be held at the beautiful Warm Lake\, 26-miles east of Cascade\, Idaho.  All off-roaders with licensed 4WD motor vehicles are welcome!  Each trail run will be capped at a total of 20 vehicles.  The trail run selections will be finalized in the days leading up to the event\, once each potential trail run has been evaluated for suitability after the spring snow melt.  \n\n\n\nThe event will kick-off Thursday afternoon with driver check-in. Additional check-ins will be on Friday and Saturday mornings. At check-in\, drivers will select a trail run for each day on a first-come first-serve basis\, with additional night runs to choose from on Thursday and Friday evenings. Trail runs will be sponsored with on-trail raffle prizes! The event will wrap-up Saturday night with a BBQ dinner\, raffle\, and fun at the Warm Lake Lodge. \n\n\n\nNOTE:  All participants must check-in prior to their first trail run to sign waivers\, get event information\, driver passes\, trail flags\, meal tickets\, and merchandise. Participants will be denied event access until they have done so. \n\n\n\nBase Camp – Please join us in thanking the North Shore and Warm Lake lodges for hosting our event and providing meals and services. We encourage participants to support our local small businesses. \n\n\n\nBook Your Lodging NOW! \n\n\n\nLodging and Camping at Warm Lake will be limited. Register early to get a spot!  \n\n\n\nRegistration & Amenities – All driver registration and meal ticket sales will be conducted online only\, during the registration window. We encourage merchandise pre-sales. Registration will close on May 12th! \n\n\n\nDriver Registration Packages \n\n\n\nRide & Rally Driver Ticket (weekend package) = $150.00. This includes up to four guided trails (Thursday evening\, Friday day\, Friday evening\, and Saturday day trail runs)\, four catered meals (breakfast and dinner on both Friday and Saturday)\, along with an event t-shirt. \n\n\n\nSaturday Driver Package = $75.00. This includes one guided Saturday trail run\, 2 catered meals (Saturday breakfast buffet and Saturday dinner)\, along with an event t-shirt. \n\n\n\nAdditional Meals & Swag: \n\n\n\n\nAdult meal tickets = $40.00/day (Includes breakfast and dinner w/ tax & gratuity included)\n\n\n\nChild meal tickets = $15.00/day (≤12 years\, kid-friendly – breakfast and dinner-tax & gratuity included)\n\n\n\nEvent t-shirts = $20.00 each (Sold online with other merchandise\, limited stock sold at event)\n\n\n\nOther meal options – Thursday dinner (taco bar) and a Sunday buffet breakfast are available ala carte.\n\n\n\nRaffle tickets will be sold online and at scheduled times during the event.\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT:  Warm Lake is located on remote Forest Service lands\, 45-minutes east of Cascade. There are no fuel services available at base camp. Plan accordingly by bringing extra fuel. DESCRIPTION:AllClubRun2023\n\n\n\nThe All-Club Run was rescheduled from March 18th due to weather conditions.   Please RSVP for the new date.\n\n\n\nA Full Day of Fun\n\n\n\nThe All-Club Run has become a Spring tradition among Idaho State 4X4 Association clubs. The members of High Desert Off-Road\, Idaho Off-Road\, and Wild West Offroaders join forces to enjoy the hills around Bruneau\, Idaho.  \n\n\n\nYou choose from one of four runs\, some of which are short enough to allow the group to do a different leg as well; those who do the Buggy Run often run the Rock Run afterword. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Scenic Run\n\n\n\nThe Homesteader Trail meanders through a beautiful stretch of the Bruneau desert to a creek. Along the creek\, you might find something exciting to photograph. Then\, you’ll visit an old homestead for more photos. This trail proves to be scenic and worry-free for those who might be intimidated by a rock or two. \n\n\n\nThe Trail Run\n\n\n\nHooker Canyon earned it’s name many years ago. The first time a person takes their stock jeep on this trail they will be “hooked.” Others refer to the small canyon as Lizard Gulch. No matter what you call it\, you’ll learn to navigate a waterfall\, avoid land mine looking rocks\, and get the chance to play in a big hole. Don’t let it scare you\, this really is an easy to moderate trail. \n\n\n\nThe Rock Run\n\n\n\nA Diff Hanger will stop you in your tracks. It will spill your drink and rattle your head. This trail is named for the numerous rocks sticking from the ground that will grab your differential and hold you tight. Stock tires will make this trail difficult\, as you’ll want a bit of extra clearance to get through this 1-mile trail. \n\n\n\nFollowing the hanger section\, there is a tight left turn and climb. The turn is almost always a 3-pointer for the longer rigs\, and sometimes more. You’ll enjoy a spotter to keep your tires out of the holes. No rock stacking here\, let the driver find a way through. \n\n\n\nThe trail ends with a big V-shaped crack. You’ll set your driver-side tires up on the rock and crawl right on through. When you’ve made it to the top\, you’ll regale yourself in your accomplishments and think “I’ll do the buggy run next time.” \n\n\n\nThe Buggy Run\n\n\n\nTo run the Gauntlet is to take part in a form of corporal punishment in which the party judged guilty is forced to run between two rows of soldiers\, who strike out and attack him. * \n\n\n\nThe Boulder Dash is a buggy worthy trail that will guarantee a ding or two on your rig. If this sounds like fun to you\, maybe you should see a doctor. Ah body shop that is\, you’ll need it after this run. \n\n\n\nYet\, if you survive\, you’ll find yourself near the top of Diff Hanger and you’ll probably want to prove you have it all by going through backwards. We suggest you do. \n\n\n\nTaco Bar and Potluck\n\n\n\nAfter our trail runs\, join us for a potluck and taco bar dinner. HDOR\, Wild West\, and IOR will be providing a taco bar\, and we ask participants to bring additional dishes for the dinner.   \n\n\n\nDinner Time: 5 pm (or around there) 🙂 \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMeeting Location and Time\n\n\n\nTime: On the morning of the run – Be there before 8am.  🙂\n\n\n\nLocation: Williams NW Pipeline – Little Valley – Google Maps                   Pipeline Rd\, Bruneau\, ID 83604 \n\n\n\nNote: The meeting location is in a dirt parking lot on the southwest side of Bob Tindale/Pipeline Rd\, approximately 0.1 miles before the Williams NW Pipeline facility. SUMMARY:Snow Run to Atlanta - 2023
DESCRIPTION:Snow Run – Fun for All\n\n\n\nReady to test your snow driving skills. This snow run is 160 miles of dirt\, snow\, and ice. It starts with a nice drive up to Arrowrock Dam. Then\, you get to navigate through potholes and twisty roads. But\, look to the right\, and you’ll see crisp mountains across the nearly empty reservoir. Then\, we’ll follow the Boise River to Atlanta. \n\n\n\nThere are numerous photo opportunities.  You will see snow covered mountains and roads. Sometimes\, snow will fall during the drive. Several frozen springs create wonderful scenes along road where wild birds fly right in front of you. There is no gas available.Rig minimum: Stock Jeep Wrangler or equivalent. Yeah\, this is a scenic ride. However\, we will get into snow where you’ll want good mud/snow (M+S) tires or very good all-terrain tires (AT).  We will have lots of ice\, and you will want to air down and slow down.  If your tires looks somewhat bald\, you’ll be asked to stay in town.  If you are running an Truck tire that does not have M+S or the Three Mountain symbol\, you’ll be asked to stay in town.  Leave the rigs with city tires or tires with little tread at home. If you have a heavy rig\, bring chains in case the ice becomes too much. If you’re often sliding on the roadway\, you’ll be stuck on this one. Please plan ahead.What to Bring: Lunch (if not eating at the restaurant)\, water\, warm clothes. Be sure to have your cold weather emergency pack (see other post)Trailer Parking: Trailer parking will be available\, meet at Albertsons. This is a one way in and same way out trip. \n\n\n\nNote on timing:  There may be nearly 50 vehicles on this run.  We will leave Albertsons at 8am.  Our first stop will be along Middle Fork Road where we will stop to air down and leave any trailers.  We will dispatch groups of 20-ish from this location.   We will break the groups by 10 minutes or so.  Due to the number of vehicles\, we hope to keep everyone on the road\, and minimize the recovery activity.  Please be prepared for lots of ice.      \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This is considered by many to be one of the earliest successes the environmental conservation movement.  However\, Mores Creek didn’t get any recognition.  But\, we all know Mores Creek is a fun place to meet.   \n\n\n\nWe’ll have a bonfire in the Mores Creek River downstream from the Robie Creek confluence. You’ll need to cross the river at least twice to get to bonfire. From there you can play on the slightly sloped hills or head further downstream for a bit of high speed mud racing. \n \n\n\n\nSeeing Triple\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCheck out this video from a few years ago..https://youtu.be/bfKkv5DrE_M \n\n\n\nWho Is Invited?\n\n\n\nTo get to the bonfire\, you must cross Mores Creek twice. The crossings are not deep\, usually under 18 inches if you use the bypass. If you add the crossing from the Robie Dock\, it could be as deep as 2.5 feet. With this information\, you’ll need to decide if you are willing to take the risk. All stock Wranglers should be able to accomplish this with no issue\, but again\, you own the risk. \n\n\n\nOtherwise\, everyone is invited. Bring dry clothes (if you think you might get wet)\, snacks\, water\, and food to roast on the fire.  Please bring a bundle (or more) of firewood.  Bamboo pokers and a grate will be provided for roasting anything you can hold over the fire.   \n\n\n\nWhere Do We Meet?\n\n\n\nWe will meet up at the Robie Creek Dock. If the weather is warm\, there will be many people out playing in the dirt. \n\n\n\nChristian will meet the first group at the docks at 10am. We’ll head downstream\, build the fire\, and start playing. Christian will head back to the dock for an 11:30am meet. If you don’t want to wait for the 10am or 11:30am meets\, you can wheel on down to the bonfire location\, we’ll be sure you get out at the end. \n\n\n\nDirections from Albertsons to Robie Creek Park:— Exit Albertsons onto Highway 21 toward Idaho City (East)— Travel 16.6 Miles to Robie Creek Road – Turn Sharp Left — Travel 2.0 Miles to Robie Creek Park \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Snow Run to Atlanta - 2022
DESCRIPTION:Snow Run – Fun for All\n\n\n\nReady to test your snow driving skills. This snow run is 160 miles of dirt\, snow\, and ice. It starts with a nice drive up to Arrowrock Dam. Then\, you get to navigate through potholes and twisty roads. But\, look to the right\, and you’ll see crisp mountains across the nearly empty reservoir. Then\, we’ll follow the Boise River to Atlanta. \n\n\n\nThere are numerous photo opportunities.  You will see snow covered mountains and roads. Sometimes\, snow will fall during the drive. Several frozen springs create wonderful scenes along road where wild birds fly right in front of you. We’ll enjoy lunch in Atlanta at the Beaver Lodge Atlanta where burgers and chicken sandwiches are about $12. \n\n\n\nCheck out the photos from last year’s snow run in our Gallery. \n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n\nHost: Christian DahlstromWho can attend: Everyone!Meeting Place: Albertsons at Gowan and Federal WayTime: Meet at 7:30am. Pull out at 8am – Plan to return around 7pm or 8pm — It’s about 5 hours each way and an hour for breaks and mealsDistance: Round trip from Albertsons is about 160 miles. There is no gas available.Rig minimum: Stock Jeep Wrangler or equivalent. Yeah\, this is a scenic ride. However\, we will get into snow where you’ll want good mud/snow (M+S) tires or very good all-terrain tires (AT).  We will have lots of ice\, and you will want to air down and slow down.  If your tires looks somewhat bald\, you’ll be asked to stay in town.  If you are running an Truck tire that does not have M+S or the Three Mountain symbol\, you’ll be asked to stay in town.  Leave the rigs with city tires or tires with little tread at home. If you have a heavy rig\, bring chains in case the ice becomes too much. If you’re often sliding on the roadway\, you’ll be stuck on this one. Please plan ahead.What to Bring: Lunch (if not eating at the restaurant)\, water\, warm clothes. Be sure to have your cold weather emergency pack (see other post)Trailer Parking: Trailer parking will be available\, meet at Albertsons. This is a one way in and same way out trip. \nNote on timing:  There may be nearly 50 vehicles on this run.  We will leave Albertsons at 8am.  Our first stop will be along Middle Fork Road where we will stop to air down and leave any trailers.  We will dispatch groups of 20-ish from this location.   We will break the groups by 10 minutes or so.  Due to the number of vehicles\, we hope to keep everyone on the road\, and minimize the recovery activity.  Please be prepared for lots of ice.      \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
