July-2019 Council Meeting Minutes

July 4th, 2019

Call to Order/Roll Call:              

 At:  7:00pm

In Attendance:  President: Justin Simms, Secretary/Sunshine/Event Planner: Ginny Simms, Governance:  Mark Bennett, Education/Safety:  Dan Sullivan

Guests:  Marcy Sullivan, Glenn Morgan, Patti Evans, Manny & Ray Turner, Rob & Brenda Robinson, Brian Thompson, Curtis & Jane Blevins, Heather & John Knapp, Urhl Eikeman, Klint & Lisa Breeding.

Meeting was informal around the campfire at Park Creek Campground during the Club hosted 4th of July campout.

7. Sunshine: Ginny:  Deb Knapp having terrible back pain, Club sent card and some frozen meals.

8. Active & New Business:

• July 21st Bucks 4×4 event:  Tough Truck & BBQ competition.  IOR will be voting to see if club would like to sponsor a BBQ team (headed by Curt Blount, Justin Simms & Mark Smith).

• July 27th Idaho City Run hosted by Christian Dahlstrom.  

• Spoke about IOR having the 2023 State Ride & Rally, beginning the planning (Dan & Marcy) to host at the Warm Lake Resort/CG.  Council has also spoke about making a trade with professional BBQ:  Trade Club BBQ for full sized Roasted Pig for the State Ride & Rally.

9. Previous Events:     

• Idaho State Ride & Rally hosted by SIORA, had 3 club members attend.  (June 21st-23rd)

• June 3oth Rock Run hosted by Nathan White.

• July 4th-7th Park Creek Camp & Ride hosted by IOR.  20 members/family, 5 guests attended.
