11th Annual Chuck Coble Memorial Rocket Run

Registration is open from July 27th through September 23rd, 2026.

WHO:
The Idaho Off-Road 4×4 club will be hosting our main event of the year with the generous support of our sponsors and benefactors.

WHAT:
The Chuck Coble Memorial Rocket Run is a day-time off-road event where participants search for mobile checkpoints in the the Owyhee desert. Event boundaries will be clearly communicated to the drivers to keep them within the area to prevent any “Major Tom” events.

WHERE: Owyhee desert south of Dan’s Ferry Service. We’ll be based and starting out of the Hemingway Butte Trail Head.

Q & A with Idaho Off-Road:
Q: What vehicles are allowed at this event?
A: Any stock 4×4, any licensed OHV, ATV/UTV, or Motorcycle(dirt/trial/etc.)

Q: What if I get lost, or broke, or off trail?
A: We’ll be maintaining constant communication and deploying rescue & recovery units And we’ll sweep the area for vehicles event closure/end.
