September 2020- Council Meeting Minutes
Call to Order/Roll Call: Fell During IOR Labor Day Campout (No Official Meeting performed)
In Attendance: President: Justin Simms, Secretary/Event Planner/Sunshine: Ginny Simms, Education: Dan Sullivan, Trail Run Coordinator: Glenn Morgan, Event Planner: Patti Evans. Visitors: Marcy Sullivan.
1. New member votes for this month : Curt (not in attendance): 5 visitors at campout, applications filled out.
Current Member Count: 55
Applicants up for Vote : James (Jim) Kokaly, Dan Bonney, Rose Martin, TJ Freeman (these individuals will be invited to next Club meeting for a Vote)
2. Current Financial Status: Christian
General Fund: $9,974.82
Joe Aldape La.nd Use Fund: $1200.00
Raffle Fund: $ 4,108.93
Grand Total: $15,223.75
3. Education Presentation: Dan= no topic chosen.
4. Land Use – Christian= Nothing new. Wildfire season.
5. State Association : Nathan= not in attendance
6. Web Master: Micke= not in attendance
7. Sunshine: Ginny: Curt Blount had been in the hospital and couldn’t attend this weekend’s event.
August Birthday: Michael Hasslbauer (1st), John Knapp (3rd), Glenn Morgan (7th), Dan Sullivan (19th), David Hopkins (21st), Ray Turner (27th).
8. Active & New Business:
· President Justin Simms asked to cancel September’s Club meeting due to lack of location to host meeting and ½ of the council/board would not be able to attend.
· Email has been sent to Event Coordinator at Riverside Hotel reg Club Christmas Party. No response as of yet, they are on forced furlough at this time. A 2nd option for a event location has been researched, by Bernadette Underwood. Justin did remind the council, if our current COVID situation should change for the worse, the event may just be cancelled all together.
· Fall Highway Cleanup will be October 3rd, meet up at 11am Albertson’s on Federal Way & Hwy 21. Bring some gloves, maybe trash grabber, good footwear, layered clothing (brightly colored) and a treasure hunting attitude! Christian’s Annual Oktoberfest will follow.
