December 2020- Council Meeting Minutes

Call to Order/Roll Call:   December 3^rd, 2020 at 7:09pm  Zoom Virtual Meeting

In Attendance:  President: Justin Simms, Secretary/Event Planner/Sunshine: Ginny Simms, Treasurer/ Land Use:  Christian Dahlstrom, Web Guru:  Micke Barnes, Safety Officer:  Klint Breeding, Education:  Dan Sullivan, Trail Run Coordinator:  Glenn Morgan, Event Planner:  Patti Evans, Club Photographer:  Lisa Breeding, Visitors:  Marcy Sullivan.

2.       Current Financial Status:  Christian

                     General Fund: $10,136.94

                     Joe Aldape La.nd Use Fund: $1200.00

                     Raffle Fund: $ 4,108.93  (Club will donate $410.89 to Toys 4 Tots this year)

3.       Education Presentation:  Dan= 

Micke Barnes, Lisa Breeding & Klint Breeding will gather/create an article about basic items to have in your vehicle.  Names of places to purchase these items will be attached to the article. 

4.        Land Use –   Christian= Seasonal Road Closures.  (off of Hwy 21, 8^th Street, Silver City)

5.       State Association :  Nathan=  (not attended)

6.       Web Master:  Micke= Proposed we use Zoom to host our 1^st Virtual IOR Club Meeting next week.  Micke has the address purchased ($150 for unlimited minutes for meetings).  He asks if IOR would like to reimburse/purchase this address if it decides to move forward with Virtual Club meetings in the future.  A vote at the Jan 2021 Council Meeting will be held. 

7.       Sunshine: Ginny:  Ginny started a new job at Tree City Family Dental!

8.       Active & New Business:

·               Our Christmas Tree Run on December 12^th will meet at 9am at Emmett Albertson’s parking lot.  Bring an unwrapped gift for a boy or girl for Toys 4 Tots or donation for Marcy’s can.  There will be a chance to win prizes, hot cocoa, permits for those who have RSVPd for one, camp fire at a lunch spot!  Pack warm clothing, and a lunch.  

·               Club Meeting for December 2020 cancelled for in person/physical meeting at a location.  Mick Morlan will contact the Shilo Inn/TNT’s Dynamite Bar & Grill to inform them we will not be attending.  We will move forward with sending out an email to Club members to invite them to the Zoom Virtual Meeting.

·               Slido.com app was downloaded by Council Members tonight to try an interactive Q&A session.  Christian wanted to use this app during our Virtual Meetings to keep people participating and interact by vote or able to introduce themselves.  It was great fun and will be tried out at next Week’s Virtual Club Meeting.

·               It’s that time of year when we need to begin thinking of who you’d like to nominate for the 2021 IOR Council.  Justin & Ginny will be stepping down from all of their positions.  Christian Dahlstrom mentions he will be able to take on the Treasurer or Secretary position.  He will not be pursuing the President or Vice President positions.  Patti Evans may decide to run for President.

·               Rocket Run Planning Committee will begin meeting in January 2021.
