February 2021-Council Meeting Minutes

Call to Order/Roll Call:   February 4^th, 2021 7:00pm  Zoom Virtual Meeting

In Attendance:  President: Justin Simms, Secretary/Event Planner/Sunshine: Ginny Simms, Web Guru:  Micke Barnes, Safety Officer:  Klint Breeding, Education:  Dan Sullivan, Trail Run Coordinator:  Glenn Morgan, Event Planner:  Patti Evans, Club Photographer:  Lisa Breeding, Visitors:  Marcy Sullivan.

3.       Education Presentation:  Dan=  will speak to the Club about:  Open/Closed, Rain/Snow, Where to Go?  Posts have been seen on other off road club facebook pages, that are concerning what last months topics covered.  Don’t post pics when you aren’t supposed to be there in the first place.

4.        Land Use –   Christian= Not in attendance.

5.       State Association :  Nathan= Not in attendance.  State Meeting will be held in person March 6^th in Twin Falls.  There will be a run the morning of.  Alicia is still considering the Zoom offer, but will need help from Christian and Micke to make it happen.  Micke has offered to conduct the Zoom meeting from his home.  Meeting starts at 1pm at the Idaho Pizza Co? (1859 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls).

6.       Web Master:  Micke= will be helping Idaho State Association conduct a Zoom meeting while live meeting happens in Twin Falls, March 6^th.  He will be doing so from his home. 

7.       Sunshine: Ginny:  Club has sent out a few cards to some friends and members to show IOR cares.

8.       Active & New Business:

·               It’s that time of year when we need to begin thinking of who you’d like to nominate for the 2021 IOR Council.  Justin & Ginny will be stepping down from all of their positions. 

Nominations for:  President  Patti Evans, Vice President  Klint Breeding, Treasurer  Christian Dahlstrom, Secretary  (nobody as of yet).  Group spoke about possible individuals that would be good nominations for Secretary position, Amy Shearn?, Brenda Robinson?, Les Bonney?.

·               Rocket Run Planning Committee will begin meeting in February 6^th, 2021 at 7pm via Zoom.

·               Club Membership Dues being accepted now until March 11th, after there will be a $10 late fee applied.  Club Member Dues are $30, New Member’s Dues $40 ($10 goes to the State Association).  Christian has been asked to send out emails to individuals who haven’t paid and thank you emails to those who have.

·               Atlanta Run, February 6^th, now hosted by Glenn Morgan for the 7am group and Dan Sullivan for the 8am group.

•             Ginny has contacted Parks & Rec to reserve shelter for BBQ in May for Hwy Clean Up on 15th.
