General Membership Meeting Notes
September 9, 2021
Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY-oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

Call to Order: Patti Evans – president@idaho4x4.com call to order at 7:00 pm adjourned at 8:22pm
Sergeant at Arms: Maintains order in the room. There is a $1 charge for unnecessary disruptions. Roll Call: Current member count is 68 units. ___22____ Member Units present and __19_____ Guests. Prospective members up for vote are: Aaron Malin, Travis Moats, Jon and Paula Tuttle, Daniel and Monica Rodriquez.
Member count is 71 after 3 new members voted in

Previous Events and old Business:
- Hot August Nights and Blazing Lights Run – 11 Member Units and 9 Guest Units
- Labor Day Camp Out 31 people in camp 14 members 17 guests, Mark Bennett camp host.

Web Master: Micke Barnes – Tech Updates- nothing new, looking for feedback
Patti went over Member FB page and web site and let the group know where to look for events.
Sunshine: Ginny Simms Birthdays: Michael Hasselbauer 1st, John Knapp 3rd, Glenn Morgan 7th, Dan Sullivan 19th, Jim Miller 19th, David Hopkins 21st, Cathy Greenwell 22, and Ray Turner 27th. Sunshine: Club sent a little love to Christian Dahlstrom, Sheri Davidson, & Bob/Marilyn Edmondson.
Active & New Business:
- Sept 18 – Highway Clean Up and Oktoberfest hosted by Christian Dahlström – Meet up at Albertsons on Federal Way at 9am. We will divide into two groups to pick up trash. After the trash has been bagged and tied we will go up to Christian’s house at Robie Creek. Christian asks that you be vaccinated or wear a mask. Can bring food there is always plenty of food.
- The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) will be holding a series of listening sessions across the state of Idaho to develop a plan on how to improve and enhance OHV recreation opportunities managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is part of an ongoing partnership between NOHVCC and the BLM, with Idaho being the sixth state that this process has been carried out in. September 16: 6:00pm – 9:00pm Boise, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 3050 S Shoshone, 83705.
- Patti asked the group for ideas on what we can ask or talk to the BLM about?
- Maps at trail sites.
- How do we go about getting permission to work on trails without going through so much red tape?
- Private land mixed in with BLM land, how do we get permission to access trail?
- Cinnabar mine, Pattie working on contacting land owner to see if we can do some maintenance to keep this trail open and keep others from taking the shortcut that is eroding the road.
Education: Micke Barnes – A lesson on Sway Bar Modules we can all learn from!
Electronic sway bar disconnect discussion. If you have more questions ask Micke or Glenn and they can share their experiences.

*Raffle information:
- 1.The raffle is on a voluntary basis. If you volunteer to be responsible for the raffle one month it is your responsibility to locate/secure the raffle prizes, or ask businesses to donate to the raffle. You need to bring the raffle items to the meeting you volunteered for. You sell the raffle tickets at the meeting you are responsible for, or you can ask for help on selling the raffle tickets.
- 2.The reason behind the raffle is to build up the raffle fund to have a Christmas raffle that no one is responsible for.
- 3.Some of the raffle money also goes towards Toys for Tots each year.
- 4.We encourage every member to volunteer for a raffle. You can volunteer on your own, or make it a joint venture. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering for the raffle.
