Run Classifications:
When IOR goes 4wheelin’, we’re careful to communicate some important details about the nature of the outing. If your rig isn’t a good match for the difficulty / requirements of the run, then you’re not gona have a good time.
So keep reading and learn which trails and vehicle requirements match up with your rig and abilities and expectations.
We’re a 4×4 Off-Roading club. So… Bring your 4WD button/switch/lever. We’ll provide the smiles.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
»Radio – Bring a ham/CB/FRS-GMRS-MURS radio with you. Communication helps you feel a part of the group. Knowing what’s going on helps lower stress levels on the trail. –Be Informed.
»AirDown – Your back, bladder, and kidneys will love you. Your suspension will stay out of your wallet.
»Water & Snacks – Where we’re goin’ there are no 7-11’s
TRAIL RUN
Are generally scenic runs over maintained public roads or named state road/trails. Trail Runs may from time to time have obstacles that may challenge street ready vehicles. These obstacles frequently have bypasses.

»31″ tires (Street tread generally ok)
TRAIL RUN(SNOW)
As with Trail Runs, snow runs are generally made over dirt roads/trails. However, they have not been plowed. Therefore, vehicle requirements are not optional.

»Mud/Snow tread on 31″ or greater sized tires is highly recommended

»AirDown – bring tools to drop air pressures and to pump them back up.
»Selectable Lockers – are often useful
ROCK RUN
These runs are challenging runs with narrow, or rock, or climbing obstacles. Body damage is possible.
Vehicle Requirements:
»Attachment/Recovery Points
»35″-37″ wheel height – will be clarified if needed by specific trail/leader.
»Lockers – selectable front/rear
»Winch
BUGGY RUN
These runs are much more challenging and nearly always risk body damage. Body & under-body armor is strongly recommended.
Longer vehicles will generally find these runs quite difficult.
