Idaho State 4×4 Association                                                             IOR Representatives: Tom Brooks and Micke Barnes

Special Guest – Ben Burr – Blue Ribbon Coalition

Working on several cases in Utah, hoping one goes to the SCOTUS.

Movement towards restricting dispersed camping and we need to ensure when we camp, we keep things clean and not heavily impacted.  Make our voices heard when we hear it is being considered for restriction.

Push to introduce a right of access for recreationers with disabilities.  Will increase the need to keep trails open and accessible to all users.  WIN – WIN!!!

Opposing the 30×30 agenda we have been seeing over the past two years.  There are 6-7 bills in congress that will restrict access to motorized vehicles.  Russ Fulcher has been instrumental in crushing the Northern Rockies Bill that Sandra Mitchell has spoken to us about multiple times.

$300 a year membership for Blue Ribbon Coalition.  By clubs being members, it increases the strength of BRC.

When there are issues in our areas, they lean in so our cases won’t be kicked out of the courts system.

  • IS4x4A is creating an updated brochure.
  • The brochure will also include a section on commercial accounts.  Commercial members would be able to display IS4x4A logo on doors or websites indicating they are supporters of IS4x4A.
  • Preparing an insurance policy to cover all events run by membership clubs that require coverage at a significant discount.

The next meeting will be:        January 4th @ 7pm via Zoom
