Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

I. Call to order –Justin Simms:  president@idaho4x4.com
II. Sergeant at Arms – Maintains order in the room. There is a $1 charge for unnecessary disruptions.

Brian Eldridge (Craig’s younger Brother) was in attendance tonight, wanted Club members the first chance to look at Craig’s Jeep that is for sale.  Brian is in charge of Craig’s estate and is now selling Craig’s:  Jeep, HydroLift & extra FJ accessories.

• Raffle Fund:  $4294.92 ($278.00 made in tonight’s raffle.  Thank you, Curt Blount!)
• Last Month’s Raffle brought in $290.00.  (Thank you, Dan & Micke Barnes!)

VI. Active and New Business 
• SIORA to host 2019 Ride & Rally in June 21st-23rd at Nat Soo Pah, Twin Falls.
• June 30th Rock Run (Dirty Lil Secret & Top Ripper) hosted by Nathan.  Meet up at Dan’s Ferry 9am.
• July 4th-8th Park Creek Camp & Ride (entire Campground is reserved, in Lowman) Christian will be hosting.  (Members+Guests)
• July 21st Buck’s 4×4 1st Annual Tough Truck & BBQ Competition.  (Twin Oaks Farms, Eagle 9am-7pm)
Tonight the Club elected to sponsor the IOR BBQ team by donating $250 towards entry & supplies.  Justin encouraged IOR club members to come out and participate/attend event and show IOR support after Buck’s key sponsorship with the Rocket Run this year.
• Wild West Off Road hosting Magruder Corridor Run Aug 2nd.  Meet in Elk City on Aug 2nd.
• 2023 IOR Ride & Rally at North Shore Resort & RV park (at Warm Lake) planning underway.
VII. Education :  Nathan White spoke to the Club about Reaction/Response to Emergencies & Accidents.  Key points made:  Wear your Seatbelts, Rural Location can cause EMS response times & communication use HAM/CB/Cell to get word out quickly, Emergency use of HAM is LEGAL for all to use! (Micke will put together instructions for EMERGENCY use), Go look for the group if there seems to be a separation or delay on the trail, Appoint 1 Lead Person for Take Charge, How to pack up someone else’s camp after accident, update your 1st Aid kits, keep a card with a list of your medications/medical conditions/emergency numbers/contacts/information in the glovebox or console of your vehicle.

• Lisa Breeding’s Birthday is Today!!! Club sang Happy Birthday to her, also gave her a Birthday card.
• Ken & Linn Nixon, previously members of IOR, are virtually homeless thanks to “black puff mold” in their home.  They’ve been living in a hotel this past month and are expecting another month at the hotel.  Encouraged the Club to contact Ken & Linn to extend an invite to dinner or BBQ/visit to show we care.

• V2 of idaho4x4.com is complete.
• Social Media:  club has been established on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, & Flicker.
• Spam Accounts removed.  Encouraging all active members (a key 8 members who received emails)/accounts to update their passwords.
X. Land Use – Christian Dahlstrom not in attendance.   Justin spoke about the IRC meeting held June 8th, that he & Christian attended.  Meeting Topics:  IRC voted to donate $4k to EPC (Efficient Public Coalition), IRC elected to donate $1k to Weed Awareness Campaign, $600 annual donation to American Forest Program that helps reestablish Road & Trails after Wildfires.  The topic of OHV Legislation granting the out of state stickers ($12).  IRC spoke about removing the Commercial Clause, allowing Side by Side more access to drive on Highways.  Our Christian Dahlstrom volunteered to help IRC by updating the IRC bylaws & website.  IRC and Wilkes Brothers are working together to help keep their properties open/accessible to horseback, 4 wheelers, 4×4 vehicles and others.  IRC did speak on how the Wilkes Brothers are more willing to work with these Recreationalists more then the news is making public.   
XI. State Association:  Nathan White
• Ochoco, Oregon Lawsuit County (Crook) Vs Federal Government for OHV land use (Clss II trails).  This case was won and is now moving to the 9th circuit court in San Francisco.  This case may indeed be used as an example for future OHV/Off-Road Recreation land battle cases.  The biggest fight is coming from the BRC (Blue Ribbon Coalition).  Also, Northern Idaho Trailblazers are opening a push for an OHV Park to be established, it is open to the public for comment at this time.

• Hwy CleanUp/BBQ/Tech Inspection/Jeep Topless Event/RTI Ramp & Balance Blocks, May 18th.  26 members & family, 12 visitors attended.
• IRC yearly meeting June 8th.  2 members attended.

XIII.  Upcoming Events – Ginny Simms/Lola Hartnoll
• Begin planning for 7th Annual Chuck Coble Memorial Rocket Run this year.
• Oct 5th Hwy CleanUp equipment has been reserved and setup with ITD.
• 2019 IOR Christmas Party will be Dec 7th at Riverside Hotel.
• 2023 IOR Ride & Rally at North Shore Resort & RV park (Warm Lake) planning has begun.  Dan & Marcy are getting more information for dates and cost preparation.

*Raffle information:
1. The raffle is on a voluntary basis. If you volunteer to be responsible for the raffle one month it is your responsibility to purchase the raffle prizes, or ask businesses to donate to the raffle. You need to bring the raffle items to the meeting you volunteered for. You sell the raffle tickets at the meeting you are responsible for, or you can ask for help on selling the raffle tickets. 
2. The reason behind the raffle is to build up the raffle fund to have a Christmas raffle that no one is responsible for. 
3. Some of the raffle money also goes towards Toys for Tots each year.
4. We encourage every member to volunteer for a raffle. You can volunteer on your own, or make it a joint venture. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering for the raffle.
