Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling!  We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

Council will maintain order in the room. There is a $1.00 charge for unnecessary disruptions.

Transferred $6,857.75 from the Rocket Run to General Fund. Left $5000 for 2023 seed money.

Land Use & State Association – Patti Evans

State Association:  Current holdings = $12,000 with $2,000 ear-marked for IRC donation.  What would you like to see done with all/some of the remaining $10,000?

  1. Participation/interest in IS4X4A is waning. Any SA action requires a quorum of members from clubs. Clubs that are no longer participating or attending meetings.
  2. Some ideas discussed to improve participation:
    1. Canvas for ideas on how to get the State Association’s word out to encourage membership and participation.
    2. Club Based Reward Program targeting people found to be championing club and SA’s ideals and land use philosophies & SA could possibly match the reward.
  • Nomination > Review> Decision
  • Anyone (members/non-members) could be eligible for nomination. Review by Leaders (Club & SA)

Previous Events and Old Business

  • Tiddy Springs Trail Run and Maintenance – October 15th
    • Great participation and the group cleaned a few miles – 18 Jeeps
    • Yank Me bell went to Dan Sullivan
  • Miner’s Grave and Beyond – October 29th (Christian Dahlström)
    • 28 vehicles, multiple non-members attended. We hit snow driving up to Miner’s Grave and then 4′ – 8″ up at the rock pile.
    • Yank Me bell changed hands again: Dan Sullivan > Bill Hargreaves

  • 2022 Rocket Run – Net Income and BLM Fee Payment
    • Check was sent for 3% (less $115 app fee) of net income. Net income – $13,888.33
  • 2023 Rocket Run (May 6th, 2023) – Next planning meeting: Thursday, November 17th
    • Yogurtz Grill – 1530 N Locust Grove Rd, Meridian, ID 83642
  • Winter/Christmas Party (Members Only)
    • Meal options have been selected
    • RSVP by December 1st!!! One RSVP per member unit with # of attendees (limit 2).
    • Posted on FB and the IOR website
    • Hotel will be offering special room rates for the event
      • If you plan to drink, please book a hotel room or use an Uber/taxi to get home.
  • The Treasure Valley Night Light Parade Cancelled
    • Changes in parade rules led to use cancelling participation. They will only allow 2 vehicles per group
  • IOR Merchandise Store – 37 orders
    • The club will be purchasing some items to lace in our stock
    • We want to have the store closed next week (November 18th) to start batch printing.
  • Tom’s Service Station, Idaho City
    • Dirt parking lot, next to (west of) Tom’s Service station is private property – no longer affiliated with the service station. If we want to use it as a meeting location, we must call ahead and request access to park there.
    • Contact #s are posted on-site
    • There was abuse by individuals (not affiliated with us) that caused damage and prompted the owners to post No Parking signs.
  • 2023 Officer Nominations – if you are interested in either being an officer or nominating someone, let us know!
    • Nominations will be taken during the January and February 2023 club meetings with voting during the March 2023 general club meeting.
