General Membership Meeting Agenda

                                                June 11th, 2020    Called to Order at:  7:00pm  Held at Discovery Park (Lake Hazel near S Eagle Rd)

Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

                II. Sergeant at Arms – Maintains order in the room. There is a $1 charge for unnecessary disruptions.

·         General Fund:  $10,250.99

·         Joe Aldape Land Use Fund:  $1200.00

·         Raffle Fund:  $4108.93  ($308.00 made in March’s raffle.  Thank you, Dan & Micke Barnes!)

·         Grand Total:  $15,559.92

           VII. Active and New Business

•     Owyhee County Trail Usage.  Trails have been getting overrun, Private Land Owners are very upset about gates and their cattle, BLM upset about vandalism of pit toilets and feces around pit toilets.  The concern is Recreationalist losing their abilities to use these areas in the future.  Also next year when the club goes to ask for a permit to use this land for our Rocket Run Event.

•     4 Wheel Parts is hosting a school supply drive for surrounding school districts.  This Friday and Saturday 9am-6pm(Friday), 9am-5pm(Saturday)  8001 Franklin Rd, Boise.  Club voted to donate $300.00 to 4 Wheel Parts/School Supply Drive.  (Delivery of Donation occurred 6-12-2020 by Ginny, Store Manager was very honored/overwhelmed by our Donation)

•     2 Headed Dragon/Lost Trail Clean Up, June 20th.  Hosted by Nathan White  9am meet up at Dan’s Ferry

•     Glenn & Patti to talk about our Club’s 4th of July Campout.  Going up to Bull Trout Lake area near Stanley June 25th to stay until July 6th.  Fun Cooking Nights:  Thursday “Italian Night”, Friday “Outdoor Cooking Technique”, Saturday “Heritage Night”.

         VIII. EducationDan Sullivan:  Not in Attendance.  Justin Simms & Nathan White spoke about the importance of being an Organized Off Road Club Member. 

·         Spoke about help with surrounding land owners, a local dealership and recreation areas.  (Adopt a Rancher/Pasture/Repair and Help Land Owners.  Help with Programs for new owners (Peterson’s in Nampa), Mentorships for new visitors/members/owners.

·         Graduation Gophers sent to Itxaso Eiguren & Raleigh Varnell.  Sammy the Skin Squid was sent to Ernest Underwood after he burnt the top of his foot with hot liquid off of his bbq.  Sherry Coble has a Shoulder Surgery coming up on the 19th to finally fix it from her fall down her icy steps this past winter.

•  IOR Christmas Party 2020 already determined.  Dec 12th, 2020 at the Riverside Hotel.    Email has been sent to Events Department contact to ask about current situation having any influence on our fall time event.

XVI.      New Applicants Eligible for Vote: no visitors to vote on this evening.  Will hold off on voting new members until we are in Phase 4.

*Raffle information:

1. The raffle is on a voluntary basis. If you volunteer to be responsible for the raffle one month it is your responsibility to purchase the raffle prizes, or ask businesses to donate to the raffle. You need to bring the raffle items to the meeting you volunteered for. You sell the raffle tickets at the meeting you are responsible for, or you can ask for help on selling the raffle tickets.

2. The reason behind the raffle is to build up the raffle fund to have a Christmas raffle that no one is responsible for.

3. Some of the raffle money also goes towards Toys for Tots each year.

4. We encourage every member to volunteer for a raffle. You can volunteer on your own, or make it a joint venture. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering for the raffle.
