General Membership Meeting Minutes
April 8, 2021

Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY! Bells “Yank Me” – Mark Bennett “Prank Me” – Wes Weidner. “I’m Broke” – Needs new owner
Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Patti Evans, President.
The New Council was presented by President Patti Evans, and include: Klint Breeding, Vice President; Lisa Breeding, Secretary; Christian Dahlstrom, Treasurer AND Land Use Director; Micke Barnes, Webmaster; Richard Scott, The Crew; Wes Weidner, Safety Officer; Amy Weidner, Governance; Glenn Morgan, Trail Coordinator AND Membership Ambassador; Dan Sullivan, Education; Ginny Simms, Sunshine; Nathan White, State Association Representative.
Our new goals this year are to unite area clubs for a stronger voice and to educate as many people as possible on being responsible off-roaders within our club and our community.
Vice President Klint Breeding: Roll Call: Current member count is 62. Fifty-six people were present in the room and 11 attended via Zoom. ___ Units present and _______ Guests. Prospective members up for vote: Tim Adams and Nathan Galvin. Guests introduced themselves and what they drive.

Previous Events and old Business:
- Approval of last month’s meeting minutes. – ______ made a motion to approve, ______ 2nd the motion and a unanimous vote was made to approve the minutes from March 2021.
- March 13th, Planetary Discovery & Bonfire Run at Robie Creek, hosted by Christian Dahlstrom. We were joined by the 4Lo Club on the beach. Fun was had by all involved. We had 9 members, 7 guests and 4 dogs attend.
- 3 Club/All Club Run, March 27th, Bruneau Area. There were 5 clubs represented, 86 vehicles, 14 campers, too many dogs to count and 1 cat.
Active & New Business:
- Club dues must be paid before the start of the meeting on April 8, 2021. If not paid you will no longer be considered an IOR member and must go thru the application process to return to membership status.
- Note: At this time all current members have been paid.
- Final Rocket Run Planning Committee will meet April 15th, 2021 6:30 at Glenn & Patti’s house in Nampa to stuff the swag bags and finish the final planning details. 3616 E Rolling Green Place, 83687 – the intersection at Victory and Happy Valley is closed – find alternate route.
- Rocket Run Update was given by Patti Evans.
- Prospective members brochure was presented, and a discussion was handled as to how we are handling the 6 month rule with covid interruptions for membership requirements.
- One of our missions this year is to unite with other clubs to create a stronger voice for trail access and education within our club and community to be responsible off-roaders. Why? How? What can you do? Patti Evans asked that all members do their best to offer an “olive branch” to all off roaders. It was discussed how we need to be united as a voice and that calling or writing our elected officials would help maintain a strong voice for keep trails open. We must each do the responsible thing while out on the trail.
Monthly Mods: Presented by Glenn Morgan – Tire Carriers – Tailgate Hinge vs Bumper. Glenn presented photos of his broken spot welds and tailgate damage due to having too heavy of a load on the tire carrier even though he had been assured by a dealer that it was the appropriate hinge hardware. Photos and explanation were given on proper replacement hardware.
Land Use: Christian Dahlstrom had nothing to report at this time. State Association: Nathan White was not present, however Patti Evans commented on how impressed she was with the State Association and what they could do. She also noted that we are very proud of IOR’s organization and technology in use that had been implemented by Micke Barnes and Christian Dahlstrom.
Web Master: Micke Barnes reported that he was working on a registration system but was not ready to reveal the details yet. Patti Evans commented she was impressed with the technology Micke always brings to the table and couldn’t wait to implement the new ideas Micke was developing.
Sunshine: Ginny Simms
News: Sunshine was sent to Diana and Steve Magstadt for Diana’s mom who had a stroke. Also to Rochelle Keller with wishes for good health. Sarah Debord and Cory Mikhals were married on April 1st, CONGRATULATIONS! April Birthdays: Tony Eiguren (6), Chuck Coble (9), Ernest Underwood (25, Christian Dahlstrom (28), Tyler Nebeker (28), and Dan Bonney (30)
It was also announced that Sherry Coble’s grandson Gavin was in a motorcycle accident and could be facing brain surgery (A more recent update indicates that Gavin is making good progress.) Ginny “Sunshine” will reach out to the family.
The Crew: Richard Scott – Only to go out when LEO contacts us as a club – otherwise on their own was discussed and how other members could be involved. Richard reported this newly formed group has not been called out yet and are still in a set-up process.
Education: Dan Sullivan – Topic: Spotters: Who is, who isn’t; General Rules for Spotters and Spectators. This was covered by Dan Sullivan. Dan suggested that only one spotter should be followed, that the driver should ask for the spotter that they are comfortable with, possible hand signals, verbal instructions, and dos and don’ts to follow when spotting.

- Park Shelter reserved May 15th for post Hwy Clean Up BBQ.
- July 4th Campout planning with USFS is in process – Talks with USFS in process.
- Labor Day Campout talks with USFS is in process.
- Christmas Party Planning Underway with Riverside Hotel for December 11.
New Applicants Eligible for Vote: Tim and Jeanette Adams and Nathan and Heather Galvin both spoke about why they wanted to be part of IOR4x4. A vote was conducted and both prospective member units were voted in to join the club.
Raffle: The raffle this month was hosted by Chuck and Sharon Callahan and brought in $310 for the Christmas Raffle Fund. Michael Shroll volunteered to host the May 2021 raffle.
