August 2020- Council Meeting Minutes

Call to Order/Roll Call:                At:  7:00pm  (Virtual Online Meeting)

In Attendance:  President: Justin Simms, Secretary/Event Planner/Sunshine: Ginny Simms, Treasurer/Land Use:  Christian Dahlstrom, Web Guru:  Micke Barnes, Safety Officer:  Klint Breeding, State Association/Board Member at Large/Rock Run Coordinator:  Nathan White, Club Photographer:  Lisa Breeding, Education:  Dan Sullivan, Trail Run Coordinator:  Glenn Morgan, Event Planner:  Patti Evans.  Visitors:  Marcy Sullivan.

Current Member Count:  55

Applicants up for Vote :  James (Jim) Kokaly, Dan Bonney, Rose Martin, TJ Freeman (these individuals will be invited to next Club meeting for a Vote)

2.       Current Financial Status:  Christian

                     General Fund: $9,703.64

                     Joe Aldape La.nd Use Fund: $1200.00

                     Raffle Fund: $ 4,108.93

     Grand Total: $15,012.57

3.       Education Presentation:  Dan=  Snakes & Creepy Crawlies.  What you need to know.  Marcy will provide/create handouts for keeping in vehicles.

4.        Land Use –   Christian= Nothing new.  Wildfire season.

5.       State Association :  Nathan=  Nothing new.

6.       Web Master:  Micke= a new link for buying club clothing will be up and working shortly.

7.       Sunshine: Ginny:  Club sent Cliff the Carpal Tunnel Catfish to Roger Nelson July 31st.  Club sent Lola a cute Stainless Steel cup for her 60th birthday celebration.

August Birthday:  Amy Weidner (4^th), William Hellwig (24^th), Howard Shields (27^th), Marcy Sullivan (30^th).

8.       Active & New Business:

·                     August Club meeting will be hosted by Jon & Heather Knapp’s residence.  (5420 S Montague Way, Meridian)  There are directions and map posted on member’s facebook page.

·                     Email has been sent to Event Coordinator at Riverside Hotel reg Club Christmas Party.  No response as of yet, they are on forced furlough at this time.  A 2^nd option for a event location has been researched, by Bernadette Underwood.  Justin did remind the council, if our current COVID situation should change for the worse, the event may just be cancelled all together. 

·                     August 15^th Carey Town Run, hosted by Bill Hargreaves.  Meet up at Boise Albertson’s on Federal Way/Gowen at 7:30am.  9:30am meet up in Fairfield.  Will be on Forest Service Road 227.

·                     Labor Day Campout September 2^nd-7^th at Pen Basin Campground, hosted by Justin & Ginny Simms.  Dan & Marcy Sullivan will be heading up to Pen Basin August 27^th to begin laying out our Club campsite.  Glenn/Patti & Justin may also head up early to help.
