Member Meeting Minutes August 11th, 2022 Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY! |

Land Use & State Association – Patti Evans Land Use: Whiskey Mountain thru private land is now closed over safety concerns and destruction of property. We do not know if this is permanent or temporary and we will be making inquiries. We have also heard that another private landowner will be closing his land after 300 head of cattle got into a wrong section due to gates not being closed. Personally, I don’t blame them. We were warned. The landowners KNOW it is not club members, but uneducated and uninformed riders who do not understand or care. They must protect their interests. Maybe in the future the roads may be open to the public. In the meantime, we should respect their decision and continue to educate all off-roaders. State Association: No meeting was held this month. Welcome Tom Brooks and Micke Barnes. They will be voting on your behalf at future State Association meetings. The next meeting will be: Sept 7th 7pm via zoom. Look on the FB pages and IOR4x4 website to click link. IRC General Membership Meeting: Saturday, July 16 IRC to create an Off-Road education video to be shown by dealers and renters. Presentation by Todd Wernex with Idaho Department of Lands. Discussion of increasing fees for OHV stickers. Thank you for all you do to protect access! |
