DATE CONFIRMED – February 8th
Ready to test your snow driving skills. This is the run you’ve been waiting for. It starts with a nice drive up to Arrowrock Dam. Then, you get to navigate through potholes and twisty roads. But, look to the right, and you’ll see crisp mountains across the nearly empty reservoir. Then, we’ll follow the Boise River to Atlanta.
There are numerous photo opportunities. There is always snow, sometimes fresh snow, frozen springs that create amazing ice formation, and at the end, we’ll enjoy lunch in Atlanta at the
Beaver Lodge Atlanta. About $10 for either a Hamburger or a Chicken Sandwich; Check your choice on the RSVP, so we can be prepared.
Host: Christian Dahlstrom
Who can attend: Everyone!
Meeting Place: Albertsons at Gowan and Federal Way
Time: Pull out at 9:00am – Plan to return around 7pm or 8pm — It’s about 4.5 hours each way and an hour for breaks and meals
Distance: Round trip from Albertsons is about 160 miles. There is no gas available.
Rig minimum: Stock YJ or equivalent. Yeah, this is a scenic ride. We will get into snow, you’ll want good tires. Mud / Snow tires (MT or MS) are recommended; All-terrain tires (AT) with good tread are ok. City tires or tires with little tread will be asked to stay home. Chains have been needed on heavier rigs at times. If you’re often sliding on the roadway, you’ll be stuck on this one. Please plan ahead.

Trailer Parking: Trailer parking will be available, meet at Albertsons. This is a one way in and same way out trip.
