Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion – Four Wheeling!  We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

Sergeant at Arms         Council will maintain order in the room. There is a $1.00 charge for unnecessary disruptions.

  • Silver City TMP was published today. Comment period through February 12^th.
  • Includes areas west of Reynolds Creek Whiskey Mountain, De Lamar, Silver City, War Eagle.

• 2024 Ride & Rally hosted by SIORA – Thursday, June 6^th through Saturday, June 8^th
  • Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer, ID – camping available
  • Multiple trails with one overlanding run
  • Event posted on FB – Registration opens soon…
• Idaho 4X4 Sticker Proposal – Discussion
  • There are funds available from the State that can be used for various reasons – can use for trail maintenance, etc. 
  • In order to have a voice at the table, we must have a source of funds going to the state, such as a sticker similar to what the ATV, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc. have to buy.
  • Oregon has a sticker to off-road – BLM & Forest Service dirt roads, etc.
  • More information to come as the proposal is more solidified.

2024 Membership Renewal

• Log into IOR website > Events > Private: 2024 Membership Renewal
  • Due tomorrow – Friday, February 9^th
  • Dues paid between February 10^th – March 14^th will be charged a reinstatement fee of $15.
  • March 15^th – membership will be revoked
  • If you prefer to pay with cash or check, please speak with the Treasurer.
  • Can also mail dues to PO Box 995, Meridian, ID 83680

Education – Jon Knapp

• Fire Extinguisher Class – Jon is working with Don Kartchner to put together a class for those that have not had the opportunity to do hands-on training. More information to come.

Active & New Business

• 2023 Ride & Rally Update – Donation to the Warm Lake community.
  • AED has been purchased for the North Shore Lodge
  • Valley County Backcountry Sheriff Division Donation – Youth ATV Helmet Loaner Program
    • 3 deputies that patrol Yellow Pine – Warm Lake – Deadwood – Silver Creek Plunge
    • Youth ATV Helmet Loaner Program – Need approximately $1,000 to purchase 20 helmets via Grizzly Motorsports.
      • 2 club members have pledged a total of $200
      • Looking to raise an additional $200
    • Raised an additional $932.75, for a total $1,550.00 to purchase helmets!
• T-Zers IOR Merchandise Store – Will open again from March 1^st – April 15^th
  • Deliver orders to May member meeting
  • Will open again in September-October
• All Club Run @ Hemingway Butte – March 30^th (details on FB and website)
  • Meet by 8:30 am, runs to leave at 9 am – scenic, easy, mid and hard trail runs
  • 4 runs – but may change based on weather, trail conditions, and participation
  • No BBQ, but please feel free to gather and mingle.

Past Events

• Snow Run to Atlanta (Aaron Malin) – Saturday, January 27^th
  • 20 vehicles and 36 people – Atlanta Fire Department “Fill the Boot”
    • Atlanta FD raised approximately $800
  • Encountered two large groups of SXS – about 20 in total.  Group of 12 made it to the Beaver Lodge and also contributed to the Fill the Boot. 

Upcoming Events

• Basic Winching 101 Class w/ HDOR (Aaron Malin) – Saturday, February 10^th
  • Meet at the dirt parking lot across from the Boise Fire Station #12 off Hwy 21, east of Federal Way.
  • Coordinated with High Desert Off-Road
• Robie Creek Run in the Mud & Advanced Winching w/HDOR (Aaron Malin) – Saturday, February 17^th
  • Coordinated with HDOR
  • Meet at the Albertson’s on Federal Way/Hwy21
    • Can meet group at the Robie Creek boat ramp at 10:00 am.

• Idaho State 4×4 Association Annual Meeting & Pancake Breakfast – Saturday, March 9^th @ 8 am
• All Club Run @ Hemingway Butte – Saturday, March 30^th
• Ride for 22 – 9^th Annual Veteran Suicide Awareness Rally and Event – Saturday, April 20^th
• 10^th Annual Chuck Coble Rocket Run – Saturday, May 4^th
