August 8th, 2019 Called to Order at: 7:01pm
Idaho Off-Road 4×4 Club is an association of people brought together to share a single passion: Four Wheeling! We are a FAMILY oriented club dedicated to keeping our public lands open while practicing the policy of TREAD LIGHTLY!

II. Sergeant at Arms – Maintains order in the room. There is a $1 charge for unnecessary disruptions.

Visitors: Rob, Brenda & Kirsten Robinson, Jim Kokgly, Talie Varnell, Jeff & Sheri Davidson, Ernest Underwood, David Hopkins (4 yr old Daughter Chava), JJ McKinney, Wes & Amy Weidner, & Jeff Palmer.

· General Fund: $12,987.69
· Joe Aldape Land Use Fund: $593.00 (half of raffle goes to land use fund until $1200 is reached)
· Raffle Fund: $4,717.09 ($383.00 made in tonight’s raffle. Thank you, Mark Bennett!)
· Last Month’s Raffle brought in $228.00. (Thank you, Ben & Jamie Wills!)
· Grand Total: $18,297.78
VI. Active and New Business
· Labor Day Campout at Pen Basin Campground August 29th-Sept 2nd.
· Run Schedule: Friday: open for vote (Tungsten, Lucky Lad Mine or Artillery Dome)
Saturday: 467 Sunday: Cinnabar Mine
· Food Schedule: Friday Italian Potluck, Saturday Dutch Oven Potluck, Sunday Mexican Potluck
· Petition for keeping Silver Creek Crossing (near Elk City) open to UTVs & Jeeps. This Crossing is used by locals for getting firewood for winter heating and used as an emergency exit if main road is closed.
VII. Education : Dan spoke to the club about Summer Recreating/Fire Dangers. Dan began to remind members/guests about the dry hot weather during the summer & quizzed what should we have in our vehicles: Shovel (36”) & Fire Extinguisher (pressurized chemical ABC). Reminders about Grass Hazards, Catalytic Converter a high temps and is a danger to have anything brush against/rest on it. Fire Restrictions: Level 1: Can use campground Fire Pits/Can’s smoke over open ground.
Level 2: No Fire/Campfires at all, No Smoking at all, No Chainsaws, No ATVs.
Level 3: Evacuation phase 1: be ready to go at short notice phase 2: get out!
Spoke about Fire Dancers (gas fire pit, low/no heat given off underneath) safe for level 1 & 2 restrictions.

· Penny Hess had her Tonsils out, Howard Shields had his Gallbladder removed, Curt Blount had a Quadruple Bypass.
IX. WebMaster: Micke Barnes: webmaster@idaho4x4.com had some Baofeng 3 fold information pamphlets for people who had asked about programming and channels at last meeting. Website is doing well, Micke, encouraged people to check it out.
X. Land Use – Christian Dahlstrom nothing new.
XI. State Association: Nathan White: nothing new, no meeting had taken place as of August 8th, 2019.
XII. Previous Events:
· July 21st 1st Annual Buck’s 4×4 Tough Truck & BBQ Competition. A.K.A. IOR emergency short notice BBQ at Justin & Ginny Simms’ home. 36+ Members/Guests attended.
· July 27th Idaho City Big Loop Run, hosted by Christian Dahlstrom. 19 vehicles, 18 finished together.
Christian added: they filled Trudy’s for Breakfast that morning, at Thorn Crk Lookout, the group met Mike (Forest Service look out tower) who let them look around inside.

XIII. Upcoming Events – Ginny Simms/Lola Hartnoll
· Begin planning for 7th Annual Chuck Coble Memorial Rocket Run this year.
· Oct 5th Hwy CleanUp equipment has been reserved and setup with ITD.
· 2019 IOR Christmas Party will be Dec 7th at Riverside Hotel.
· 2023 IOR Ride & Rally at North Shore Resort & RV park (Warm Lake) planning has begun. Dan & Marcy are getting more information for dates and cost preparation.
XIV. New Applicants Eligible for Vote: Jeff Davidson, David Hopkins & Rob Robinson were all voted into the club unanimous yes votes for all.
