January-2020 Council Meeting Minutes

Call to Order/Roll Call:                At:  7:03pm

In Attendance:  President: Justin Simms, Vice President/Trail Run Coordinator:  Mark Hartnoll, Secretary/Event Planner/Sunshine: Ginny Simms, Event Planner:  Lola Hartnoll, Web Guru:  Micke Barnes, Education/Safety:  Dan Sullivan, Treasurer/Land Use:  Christian Dahlstrom, Board Member at Large/State Association/Rock Run Coordinator:  Nathan White.

3.       Education Presentation:  Dan=  Rory Olsen, with Search and Rescue, will be speaking to the Club next week.  Next month:  Wheeling AloneßNot a Good Idea!

4.        Land Use –   Christian= nothing new.

5.       State Association :  Nathan= nothing new.  IRC meeting is the 11^th, the Director will be in attendance and new info will be shared.

6.       Web Master:  Micke= Club Member Survey is still underway.

7.       Sunshine: Ginny:  Ray Turner’s father passed away.  Tom Cota’s Father-n-Law passed away.  Both received cards from the club expressing our condolences.  Amy Weidner received the Tooth Toucan, Jane Knes received the Lumbar Llama.

8.       Active & New Business:

·         Need to update the Club Bylaws after November’s changes.  Current New Member packets do not have Bylaws in them. 

·         Jan 7th Rocket Run Planning Committee meeting at Ginny & Justin Simms’ home at 7pm.

·         Jan 19th Club Run, hosted by Mark Hartnoll.  May possibly have snow.  Cow Creek area in the Owyhee Mountains.

·         Club Membership Dues being accepted now until March 12th, after there will be a $10 late fee applied.  Club Member Dues are $30, New Member’s Dues $40 ($10 goes to the State Association).  PayPal link to be accessed by members for online payment option on website.

·         Jan 11th IRC meeting at Kopper Kitchen 10am-3pm.  RSVP by Jan 5th to smitchel@alscott.com (Sandra’s Birthday is Jan 22nd)

·         Nominations for Club Council have begun, all positions are up for election.  Curt Blount has shown interest in the Vice President position. 

·         Renewed the Club PO Box for another year.  $134.00

11.   Upcoming Events: Event planning committee: Ginny Simms & Lola Hartnoll

·         Jan 7^th, 2020 next Rocket Run Planning Committee Meeting at Justin & Ginny’s home, 7pm.

·         Signs & Vests reserved for the club in May & October.  Shelter at Lucky Peak State Park reserved again for Hwy Clean Up May 16^th.

·         IOR 2020 Christmas Party under planning already.  December 12^th expected date, larger room & earlier start time in the works.

·         2023 IOR Ride & Rally at North Shore Resort/Campground (Warm Lake, ID).  Dan & Marcy Sullivan have began planning & talking with owners.
